About Us
The “Their Smile in Our Hands” association supports children with cancer and children with complex disabilities, and focuses on supporting, assisting and raising funds for the children being treated and their families. The association accompanies them in their stubborn fight against the disease and the new challenges it brings. Their Smile in Our Hands was founded by people who have experienced pain and understand the pain of children, and whose goal is to achieve a significant change in the lives of children and their families in terms of health, mental health and social care. All of this is achieved by constantly creating joyful experiences alongside endless concern for the medical conditions and the quality of the treatments that the children receive.
The association is run by volunteers; parents of children who have been ill in the past or whose children are ill today. The parents have gained a great deal of knowledge over time, they are well aware of the disease and its physical and mental consequences, and the difficulties involved in dealing with children on a daily basis alongside the disease.
The Their Smile in Our Hands association helps many families of children and more each year in their fight for life, with some of the children being terminally ill. The association’s activities aim to improve the quality of life of the children and their families, whether in private homes or in hospitals. We are always happy to welcome more parent volunteers and friends to our association so that we can expand our activities. 🙏❤️
The Team
Yafit Benin
CEO
Hi everyone, my name is Yafit Hadassah Benin, director of the Wish Fulfillment Department for children with cancer. I want to share my story with you.
I myself went through a very difficult period with many challenges and hospitals. There were days of fear, worries and very challenging moments, but there were also moments of hope – moments in which I imagined the things I would like to make come true.
Today, after I managed to get through this period, I am here to help other children who are going through what I went through. I run a project called “Wish Fulfillment” for children with cancer, and I get to give them little moments of happiness, in the hope that they will experience the same light that I experienced. It moves me every time to see their smile, to know that I am part of this journey and to make their dreams come true for them.

Yaniv Smadja
Chairman
My name is Yaniv Smadja, the chairman of the Their Smile is in Our Hands association. I want to share my story with you.
I was a single father, raising two amazing children alone, without any preparation or support, and had to deal with many daily challenges. There were difficult days, days when I felt like I didn’t know how I would get through them, but I always knew that what needed to guide me was love, giving, and a desire to help. Despite all the difficulties, I found the strength to continue to be a milestone for my children, while maintaining optimism and a desire to make people happy and spread goodness. Today, I am proud to be the chairman of an association for children with cancer, because I know what it is like to feel alone in the struggle. Above all, I want to be there for them, to offer them hope, a listening ear, and moments of happiness. Meeting these children and families gives me strength and reminds me of the importance of giving, sharing, and being there – even when it’s hard, even when it requires a lot.
